Goya's "Still Life with Slices of Salmon"

Still Life with Slices of Salmon (1810)
Another austere still life arrangement of raw flesh, with trickles of blood, by the Spanish master. (see the post on Goya's "Still Life, a Butcher's Counter" for another example).

  1. Thanks for posting this very beautiful still life. There are lots of still life paintings of food, but this one and the others you've posted seem to belong to a category of their own. They are very minimal and austere.
