Bread and Chocolate

The 1974 movie "Bread and Chocolate" (director: Franco Brusati)
tells the story of a middle-aged Italian man (played by Nino Manfredi)who immigrates to Switzerland to find a better life. The clash of the two cultures makes for some very funny scenes, but perhaps none so funny as the opening credits, below (in which bread and chocolate play a key role):

  1. I love how this clip beautifully and comically captures the disorientation of being in a strange culture--the happy surprise of feeling like you belong, followed by the just as sudden betrayal of that feelng.
